HOW WE HANDLE YOUR ACCOUNT

Six Practices Behind Our Terms Enforcement

sattamat enforces these terms consistently across every account, whether you deposit via UPI or Paytm or PhonePe.

Data Handling

Account data you submit during registration — name, contact details, payment identifiers — is stored securely and used only for operating your account, verifying identity, and processing transactions. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Cookie Use

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies to understand how pages perform. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect account functionality like saved payment methods.

Account Security

Your account is protected by password authentication and, where enabled, two-factor verification. We will never ask for your password via email or live chat — any such request should be reported to our support team immediately as a potential phishing attempt.

Fund Retention Policy

Funds in your sattamat wallet are held separately from operational accounts. Dormant accounts may be subject to an inactivity clause detailed in Section 7 of the full terms; we will contact you via registered email before any balance adjustment takes effect.

Contact for Changes

To request a change to your registered details — email address, linked UPI ID, or phone number — raise a verified request through live chat or the Help Centre. Identity verification is required before any sensitive detail is updated on your account.

Term Update Notice

When we revise these Terms and Conditions, we send a notice to your registered email at least seven days before the changes come into force. You can review the updated text in full within your account settings under the Legal section.

Frequently Asked Questions on These Terms

The questions below address the points most commonly raised about these Terms and Conditions — from account eligibility and payment rules to dispute steps and data rights. If you need a clause interpreted beyond what is covered here, contact our support team directly.

These terms apply to every person who opens or operates an account on sattamat. Access and eligibility depend on local law and are available where local law in India permits. If you are in a region where participation is restricted, you must not proceed with registration.

We will not change terms without notice. A minimum seven-day notice period applies before material changes take effect. The updated terms are sent to your registered email and published in your account's Legal section so you have time to review them.

When you close your account, your linked UPI ID and any stored payment details are removed from our systems. Any remaining balance is returned to the originating payment method after identity verification is completed through our support team.

Raise a dispute through live chat or email within 30 days of the transaction date. Our team will review the transaction log, apply the dispute resolution steps set out in Section 9 of the full terms, and respond with a decision within 5 business days.

We share data only with payment processors — such as UPI networks, Paytm, and PhonePe — strictly to process your transactions. No personal data is sold or transferred to marketing third parties. Our data handling practices comply with applicable Indian data law.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through our internal process will be referred to the appropriate legal forum in India as specified in the governing-law clause of the full terms document.

Submit a data-access request via email or the Help Centre. We will compile the account data we hold on you and deliver it within the timeframe required under applicable law. Identity verification is required before any data is released to ensure account security.
